Haunted High is planned to be the annual, major fundraiser to benefit
the Oconomowoc Public Education Foundation (OPEF) general fund.
These funds are available through an annual grant process to Oconomowoc Area School District teachers and staff in support of innovative and expansive educational opportunities.
OPEF was created in late 2007 to offer education-minded citizens a way to support the Oconomowoc area public schools with private, tax-deductible contributions.
It supports and manages several designated funds including
the PACE Fund (Performing Arts Center Enhancements for the Oconomowoc Arts Center)
and the Jennifer Bukosky Fund (memorial fund to support drug and alcohol abuse awareness and prevention).
The OPEF General Fund awarded two teacher grants for the 2009-2010 school year. It is hoped that the funds raised by Haunted High will allow for 20 - 30 grants next year.
